It is the 16th of January and I am wondering how many people made resolutions and how many are still keeping to their resolve. As an old van it becomes increasingly hard to keep to new year’s resolutions. I think it is more important to start each day or journey with a positive view and if you have failed by lunchtime then there is always another day coming. I have always been a tank half full kind of van. According to the Independent newspaper today, 191 people over the age of 100 still drive on the roads in Britain. When you get to 70 you have to declare every 3 years if you think you are ft to drive but you don’t get tested. I am still on the road and I am 83 (in van years). VW buses have been on the road since 1955 and apparently there are 2 still running from then. That makes them 58 years old which is 385 in van years ! I have a long journey ahead of me!.
